"What a lovely evening this is," Laila Bellefleur thought to herself as she meandered along a path in a public park in Bon Temps, Louisiana. Not long before the sun had set and she had woken up in her humble home in Monroe, yearning to get out, explore, and stretch her legs. She drove her car out on the highway when she came to Bon Temps. There, she saw a gloomy little park and pulled over.
The moon was full and the stars shown bright against the velvet black night. But she felt something was not quite right. She had a feeling she was being followed. Had the predator become the prey? She heard rustling in the bushes, her fangs snapped out in preparation to defend herself.

Just before sunset Jason had drove to Monroe to pick up some tools from the hardware store; there were a few things in the house that needed fixing up, and had finally gotten the time to head over there. After he had picked up his supplies and he was well off on his journey back home, the car in front of him on the highway had it's license plate fall off. Jason was in a good mood today and up for doing a good deed. He pulled over the car and retrieved the plate with the intension to catch up to the driver and return it, but this task proved more difficult than it seemed. The driver was fast, and hard to keep up with.
Around Bon Temps they pulled over at a local park- one he had gone to many times as a child. He parked and hurried out of the car to catch the woman, yet her pace was too quick. He lost her. Jason looked around the park trying to find the women- undecided whether it was appropriate to yell out "Ma'am!" or to just wait until he ran into her; he chose the latter.
Finally, He caught a glimpse of the mysterious quick paced stranger and hopped through some brush to get to her, however he came to a unexpected surprise. She wasn't human. As Jason hopped out of the bushes a Vampire drew out her fangs and rushed him.
"Holy jumping Jesus! Hold on there!" Jason screeched in panic, "I found you're license plate lyin' out on the highway and I wanted to return it!" He then tossed the license plate at the Vampire and fled.

Laila quickly retracted her fangs, the poor human seemed frightened enough, not to mention harmless enough. A little... cute too?
"Oh," she uttered quietly, "Well I suppose you should walk to my car and help me put it on then?" She couldn't decide whether she wanted to eat him or play with him. Maybe a bit of both couldn't hurt? 'No no no,' she thought, 'I'm going to go mainstream, I can't." Ah, mainstreaming, it had it's perks, and this definitely was not one of them. "Well, I'm Laila by the way," she held out her hand, hoping she hadn't frightened him so much he wouldn't shake it.

Jason's hand quivered as it met with hers. He was afraid, but also nervous. It was too tempting being this close to a vampire. One that even seemed to show trust? Or was it fake trust? Either way an unlimited supply of V coursed threw the veins of the being in front of him. Of course she was stronger than him, however if he went to put the license plate on her car he could easily get some silver mesh from the back of his truck. 'I can't do that. I can't,' he thought. Not only was it too risky, but it was wrong. Plus, he was trying to get off the V.
"Well, uh, I'm Jason. Pleased to meet you," he stammered, "So... I s'pose we should head back to your car and get this thing back on it!" Maybe he could work out a compromise, "Your eyes are awfully beautiful by the way, Miss," he mused as decided that if he was ever to get any favors out of this vampire he needed to kiss her ass as much as possible.
